Message from Our CEO, Victoria Donovan

This month Clinically Media celebrates five years! As we celebrate our fifth anniversary alongside our clients and friends, I reflect on all that we have accomplished, how much we have grown, and what is next for Clinically Media.

Reflecting on the Past Five Years

There are many moments to highlight from the past five years. We built a talented team, branded and rebranded Clinically Media, expanded our services, defined and redefined our values, improved patients’ lives, and contributed to important advancements in medicine. Through it all, I’m feeling grateful for my amazing team and the opportunities to serve patients and biopharma professionals. And I am especially grateful for our early partners and clients who trusted us from the very beginning.

In supporting many pharmaceutical companies with patient recruitment and retention, marketing strategies, and more, we’ve played an instrumental role in bringing new treatments to market. We supported Candesant Biomedical in recruiting and retaining patients for their Pivotal Axillary Hyperhidrosis study, the Sahara Study, enrolling the study ahead of schedule. We also supported biopharma companies in their business development, fundraising, and investor relations. For example, in order to guide the narrative of Fresh Tracks Therapeutics’ (fka Brickell Biotech) online presence, we executed paid advertising campaigns, created organic social content with custom brand graphics and messaging, and designed effective corporate slide decks. Our work and services have grown and developed over the past five years; and our commitment to advancing medicine, supporting women, and improving diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) has expanded and guided our values and mission.

Where We Are Today

Today more than ever, Clinically Media is positioned to continue leading the industry in providing high quality marketing, advertising, and patient recruitment services. We’re in this position only through the incredible and thoughtful work of Clinically Media’s truly remarkable team. In fact, Clinically Media was named a Top 10 Patient Solutions Provider 2022 by the Life Sciences Review. Our work also led to my selection as a 2022 ELITE 100 in the Entrepreneur category by PM360 and a GenXYZ Top 25 Most Influential Young Professional by ColoradoBiz Magazine. We’ve carved out a space in the industry and are proud we have already made a lasting imprint in the life sciences.

In the past five years, we’ve developed ongoing, meaningful partnerships with incredible organizations. We’ve become members of the Colorado Bioscience Association (CBSA), the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP), the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), and the Better Business Bureau (BBB). We’ve partnered with UberHealth, TransPerfect Life Sciences, Cerneos Group, and TALG Law. As we continue to grow our community of partners and affiliates, together we are advancing medicine and working towards making clinical trials more accessible.

Looking Forward

Through supporting clinical research and biopharma companies, the Clinically Media team and I have contributed to improving millions of patients’ lives. Ultimately, the shared common goal in the industry is to advance medicine so everyone can feel and live better (and we really do mean everyone). We believe clinical research should be accessible to people of all identities, which is why we’re building upon our Giveback Initiative and our efforts to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in clinical research. Our Giveback Initiative is centered around supporting the science behind the scenes. Beginning 2022, we’ll be donating 1% of profits to organizations supporting healthcare for all.

By doing our part to learn and educate the biopharma industry on creating more accessible clinical trials, we can make real strides towards a more equitable healthcare system together. I’m proud to share that my team’s peer-reviewed article, “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Patient Recruitment and Retention,” was recently published in ACRP’s Clinical Research journal. Kate Schroeder and Seth Palmer delve into many steps the industry can take to address the inaccessibility and lack of trust marginalized communities experience within the healthcare system. As part of our continued dedication to DEI within clinical research, we are in the process of conducting market research to reveal how we can better serve our clients and patients. Clinically Media will continue expanding upon DEI efforts to ensure we are positively impacting the industry and patients.

Final Notes

On our fifth anniversary, we’re celebrating the many reasons we’re proud to be Clinically Media. We do what we do to help countless patients gain access to potentially groundbreaking treatments, support the drug development companies that sponsor this research, and create more accessible clinical trials for patients of all identities. If our past 5 years are indicative of what the next 5 years look like, there’s a wonderful future ahead filled with a more inclusive healthcare and research ecosystem.
