Destination Startup® is a collaboration between leading research universities and federal laboratories across the Intermountain West, which aims to showcase the best companies from the region’s innovation ecosystem. The annual event is attended by hundreds of investors, business leaders, and innovators from throughout North America, providing a platform for innovative research to be translated into impactful business ventures.
This year’s fully in-person event took place at the Renaissance Denver Downtown City Center Hotel, in Denver, CO, and will feature companies from the University of Arizona, Colorado State University, Montana State University, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the University of Nebraska-UMC, the University of New Mexico, the University of Utah, the University of Wyoming, the University of Denver, and the University of Colorado (Boulder, Anschutz, Denver, and Colorado Springs).
Over the past four years, Destination Startup® has launched over 70 new startup companies, collectively raising over $400 million in venture, angel, strategic, and grant funding. The event provides a unique opportunity to learn about the latest innovative research and meet with key players in the startup ecosystem.
As an attendee of this year’s event, Clinically Media’s CEO Victoria Donovan learned more about the innovative research and startups on display. She also reconnected and met many fellow entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders, exploring potential collaboration and investment opportunities.
